PRINCE Harry used a single gesture to indicate he wanted a more “active” role in Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral on Monday, body language expert Judi James has claimed.
Harry was joined by wife Meghan Markle for the sombre service at London’s Westminster Abbey, and it was during this that he began to look like an “emotionally broken” man, Judi said.

He used a single gesture to show he wanted a more “active” role in the funeral, Judi said
He was seen walking behind the coffin – with his father King Charles and brother Prince William in front of him
“Following the coffin beside his brother there were some suppressed signals of tension, like the sucked-in lips,” she continued.
“But when the coffin was being lowered he did a repeat of the shoulder-rolling gesture from the last walk.
“He appeared to not only be bracing or steeling himself for the service inside, but was also mimicking the gesture the coffin bearers were doing in what looked like a desire to take a more active role himself.”
While he was given permission to wear his military uniform during his and his cousins’ vigil of the Queen’s coffin on Saturday, he was noticeably not wearing the uniform to the funeral.
Instead, he wore a morning suit, as he did to Prince Philip’s funeral last year.
And while brother Prince William, his wife Catherine, the Princess of Wales, and their children George and Charlotte were sitting in the front row for the service, Harry and Meghan were in the second row back.
Harry has been on fractious terms with his family since stepping down as a senior member of the Royal Family and moving to America with Meghan.
The couple have since had two children, who they have raised Stateside.
Royal fans will no doubt be hoping that joining together in mourning the Queen will have worked to heal the rift between Harry and William.
However, a source recently told the Sunday Times that the chances of that weren’t looking too good.

“Their view is: ‘We’ll be where we need to be and we won’t be where we don’t need to be’,” one insider said.
Another added: “They are both just doing their jobs and will go back to their own lives after that. It’s all really sad.”
