How Kate Middleton has ‘rebranded’ herself as ‘softer’ after Meghan Markle drama… it’s all thanks to the colour pink

PRINCESS Kate has been sporting a lot of pink outfits recently, and it’s not because she’s a Barbie fan.

After the whirlwind Meghan Markle drama, Kate might just be using the colour to help rebrand herself as “softer and gentler”, a fashion stylist has claimed.

Miranda Holder, who has 181,000 TikTok followers, explained just how Kate’s doing this, and why it’s a genius move.

“We either have a Princess of Wales who is the biggest closet Barbie fan ever, or she’s just embracing this colour being fashionable at the moment and enjoying herself,” the royal style guru explained in a clip posted on her TikTok.

According to Miranda, the tidal wave of pink from the Princess is unlikely to be just a coincidence, since the royals are known to convey a lot through their fashion choices.

“Every style decision, especially what it comes to Kate’s wardrobe, is absolutely considered and deliberate down to the colour she wears,” Miranda explained.

Kate was seen snapped sporting an Alexander McQueen blazer and trousers with matching blouse, white belt and heels back in May as she stepped out to support struggling children.

We’ve also seen her in a stunning bubble gum pink ME+EM dress at the annual Chelsea Flower Show, and another chic belted number on a trip to the V&A last month.

The Princess notably wore a lot of pink following the drama with sister-in-law Meghan Markle too.

After the explosive Oprah interview where Meghan claimed Kate made her cry aired, Kate stepped out in a pink coat and matching top.

Interestingly, she opted for pink again the day after BBC documentary,  The Princes and the Press, was aired.

The drama between the pair goes back years, with a rift reported between them when Meghan first tied the knot with Prince Harry, up until last Christmas when the couple’s Netflix series dropped on the same day as Kate’s Carol service.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, fashion expert and personal stylist Samantha Harman noted that it was probably a conscious decision for Kate to wear pink “after a bit of unwanted publicity”, since it portrays qualities of “kindness, compassion and nurturing.”

Miranda made a similar point, she said: “According to colour psychology, which the royals do pay attention to, pink is fun, feminine, flirty and romantic.”

This might explain why she picked the pink Jenny Packham dress she wore to he Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Rajwa Al-Saif’s swanky reception.

“My feelings are the Wales‘ are about to switch gear in some way” Miranda said.

“Kate is currently being rebranded as a softer, gentler version of herself,” she continued.

This “change in tone” is expected after the coronation, the style guru said.

After sharing the post on TikTok, others agreed the pink look is a winning formula for Kate.

One commented: “I gotta say, seeing her in all this pink is making me want to wear it more.”

“Pink is SO in her colour wheel, she looks radiant,” a second wrote.

A third agreed: “She looks stunning, maybe Princess Charlotte wanted her mum to wear more pink?”
