New Home in Malibu
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly house hunting in Malibu, California. According to TMZ, the couple has shown interest in a £6.3 million ($8 million) plot of land. The site already has a construction team in place and features a pool, guard house, seating terrace, and fire-pit. An additional £8 million ($10 million) might be needed for the construction of the main residence, bringing the total cost to £15.4 million ($18 million). If the couple chooses to move to Malibu, they would be joining celebrity neighbors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Paris Hilton, and Ellen Degeneres.
Selling the Montecito Mansion
TMZ reports that Meghan and Harry have discussed the possibility of selling their £12 million Montecito mansion. The sprawling nine-bedroom, 16-bathroom home sits on 5.4 acres of land and boasts luxurious features such as a library, office, spa, gym, game room, wine cellar, and a five-car garage. The estate also includes a tennis court, tea house, children's cottage, and a pool. However, their presence in the neighborhood has reportedly upset some of their neighbors.
Neighbour Complaints
Neighbours of Meghan and Harry in Montecito are said to be unhappy with the constant presence of paparazzi photographers and helicopters. Some locals claim that their privacy is being compromised due to the couple's fame. It is unclear whether these complaints have influenced the couple's decision to potentially sell their mansion and move to Malibu.
