Pippa Middleton wins neighbour row over Prince George’s ‘favourite’ 72 acre petting zoo down road from her £15m mansion

PIPPA Middleton has won a neighbour row over what’s said to be her nephew Prince George’s favourite petting zoo.

The 72-acre farm sits just down the road from Pippa and husband James Matthews’ £15million mansion.

Pippa, 39, and James, 47, bought the park after it went up for sale for £1.5m in 2020.

But MailOnline reported the couple ended up in a year-long fight with neighbours over the work they planned to do at the Bucklebury Farm Park, in Berkshire.

The park’s petting zoo was said to be a favourite of young Prince George.

His mum, Kate Middleton, would often take him there when she visited her parents house – Bucklebury Manor – a couple of miles away.

Pippa and James were said to quickly build a covered seating area once the park was theirs.

But, the couple didn’t get planning permission and the West Berkshire Council became aware.

They applied for retrospective planning permission, as well as permission to refurbish and extend an existing barn, build a new barn and a huge new storage building.

The couple also wanted to build new toilets, a 100-vehicle car park, and divert a public footpath.

And one neighbour objected.

The resident said the new footpath route was “prone to flooding”, which regularly reduced the relevant stretch of land to “a quagmire”.

They said there was no specific plan “to prevent potential conflict” between walkers and those visiting the park by car.

Earlier this year BerkshireLive reported that locals were also concerned Pippa and James would remove the park’s slides – which were a kids’ favourite.

But the couple stuck at the fight and have now been granted retrospective permission for the covered seating area.

They were also given the go ahead to extend an existing “visitor barn”, and to build a “play barn” and a huge new storage building.

The couple have also been given the green light to build new loos and a 100-vehicle car park.

Pippa and James live not far from the park, in what is understood to be a massive 30-bedroom mansion.

The £15m home sits on 150 acres of grounds which lead down to a river, complete with a walled garden and greenhouses.
