Football fun in Toxteth
The Prince of Wales recently engaged in a friendly football match with teenagers in Toxteth, showcasing his skills on the pitch. Despite his love for football and Aston Villa, he humorously mentioned, 'I’m not going to go around slide tackling, am I!'
Royal visit to Tiber community facility
During his visit, the Prince spent time at the new community facility Tiber, where he interacted with young players and even shared the pitch with them. The football session was attended by a small crowd, including Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish.
Community engagement and donations
Not only did the Prince enjoy the kickabout, but he also took the time to talk to teenage girls and boys about their training and supported teams. Furthermore, the Royal Foundation and the Prince made donations to help complete the facility's fixtures and fittings, ensuring its timely opening.
Supporting local initiatives
Aside from football, Prince Charles visited the Cycle of Life project at the Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre, where he learned about providing bicycles to transform lives. Despite the rainy weather hindering a planned cycle ride, the Prince actively participated in fixing a bike and engaging with young people.
Cycling for change
Engaging with the young participants, the Prince highlighted the importance of responsibility and learning new skills. He also discussed ways to promote cycling in the UK and praised the initiatives aimed at transforming lives through cycling, emphasizing the positive impact it can have on communities.
