Rob Rinder calls out Good Morning Britain in swipe about Meghan Markle’s Royal racism claims

GOOD Morning Britain host Rob Rinder took a swipe at the breakfast show as he revealed his true feelings about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

Ahead of the release of the bombshell Netflix documentary, the 44-year-old didn’t hold back about the aggrieved Royals.

He was reacting to a second trailer showing Prince Harry accuse the institution of “leaking and planting stories”, adding: “it’s a dirty game.”

But Rob pointed out the “elephant in the room” as they discussed Meghan’s racism claims within the Royal Family, saying: “This is an all white panel.”

He was joined alongside co-host Susanna Reid, Richard Arnold and Newsweek’s Jack Royston.

Rob said: “It is right to say, to call out the elephant in the room, this is a white panel.

“Meghan talks of experiences of racism on Twitter. That’s very real. It’s also absolutely true of women on Twitter.

“If [the documentary] is going to change the hearts and minds of people on Twitter, which I doubt it will very much, but if it’s going to draw attention to that then it has some educational value does it not?”

His comments followed his rant about the former Suits actress and her husband being given a Ripple of Hope award by the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights association for their “heroic” stance against the “structural racism” of the Royal Family.

Rob raged: “Now, that’s worthy of a human rights award? Surely what you would do is you have the profound and clear and honest humility as a human being, to know that there are real people out there who you should accept the award for, given the real human rights work they do.

“You can tell I feel quite passionately about this. The idea I, or anybody else here would accept a human rights award given what is going on around the world, strikes me at the very least – to use the language of that world – problematic.”

Reacting to the debate, one viewer said: “People in debt, considering suicide and #GMB lead with Megan and Harry, who gives a s***. Rob Rinder certainly doesn’t, good to see him back on the show.”

Another added: “Rob Rinder doesn’t think Diana and Meghan aren’t under the same he even covered his mouth to laugh. He is so right, I think Meghan has it much WORSE.”

Rob – also known as Judge Rinder – was praised for his return to the breakfast hot seat for a second day in a row.

“Absolutely spot on Rob Rinder #GMB,” said one of his views.

Another said: “I bloody love Rob Rinder #GMB speaks eloquently and honestly a refreshing change.”

Someone else added: “Rob rinder hits nail on the head..#gmb.”
