The Queen’s sweet nod to her late mum with pretty aquamarine brooch for Trooping The Colour celebrations

THIS weekend the Queen celebrated her birthday in true regal style with the traditional Trooping the Colour.

In her usual well put-together style Her Majesty the Queen wore a stunning ensemble, with a special piece of jewellery for the birthday celebrations.

To mark the special occasion the monarch wore a chic grey coat with a yellow embroidered collar and a matching hat by Angela Kelly.

She dressed up the look with a striking blue brooch that had been left to her by her late mother.

The Queen Mother was said to have given the symbolic brooch to her daughter, who has only worn it a handful of times.

The stunning piece of jewellery is an aquamarine art deco brooch that fans hadn’t seen since a Buckingham Palace garden party in 2017.
