All the clues Rylan Clark has given that he’ll host Big Brother as he quits Strictly

RYLAN Clark shocked fans by revealing he’s hanging up his dancing shoes and quitting Strictly Come Dancing’s sister programme, It Takes Two.

However, conspiracy theorists are convinced it’s because the star will be fronting the new Big Brother show that’s rumoured to be relaunching later this year.

Rylan’s fans are convinced he will be back to host a rebooted Big Brother

Posting to Twitter on Wednesday, Rylan, 34, announced that after four years hosting It Takes Two, it was time to “hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye”.

He wrote: “After four fantastic years it’s time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two.

“I’ve had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe [Ball] and I can’t thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show.

“I’ve been welcomed into the Strictly family and will firmly hold that title dear to me.

“The time has come for me to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me. Thank you Strictly, you will always have my heart… and dancing feet.”

Fans rushed to Twitter to speculate on whether this was because Rylan, who won Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, would be hosting the rebooted show.

Last year Rylan and Big Brother narrator, British actor Marcus Bentley, sent fans of the iconic reality TV show into meltdown as they teased the idea of a long-awaited comeback.

The One Show co-host shared a series of mysterious tweets beginning with a simple emoji and, almost immediately, Big Brother narrator Marcus shared his reaction.

“Oh my god, Rylan, you’re a terrible tease,” Marcus penned, before Rylan cheekily replied: “Love you.”

The interaction left Big Brother fans hopeful that the iconic show would be making an epic return to screens sooner rather than later.

Taking to Twitter, they shared their excited reactions, with hundreds begging for the show to return after so many years away.

Rylan, who credits the show for “changing his life”, also confirmed that he would be up for hosting the “biggest and best” reality TV show once again.

“One million per cent,” Rylan told The Mirror when asked whether he would like to present a new series of the show that was last on-air in 2018.

“Big Brother was like a child to me – doing Big Brother’s bit on the side every night became like a lifestyle rather than a job.”

Big Brother was one of the very first reality shows and spawned a host of iconic celebrities including Alison Hammond, Josie Gibson, and Brian Dowling.

Hosted by Davina McCall, it first aired in the UK in 2000 on Channel 4 and continued for 11 series on the network until 2010, when it was picked up by Channel 5.
