ANGELA Scanlon has surprised fans after she revealed that she’s not much of a gardener despite presenting BBC’s Your Garden Made Perfect.
The presenter, 38, also told fans that the new series of the show will be “more ambitious” than ever.
Angela, who hosts the show which helps transform the gardens of their guests, admitted that she’s not “into gardening”.
“We’ve got the designers who know everything that anyone needs to know about gardening, so I am the woman of the people,” Angela told The Yorkshire Post.
“I can be the dummy and I can ask the questions that hopefully, if I’m thinking them, somebody else at home is thinking them.
“I’ve certainly learned (along the way) but I wouldn’t say I’m into gardening.
“I love being outdoors and I have managed to keep a cheese plant alive for seven years, so there’s definitely an interest there!”
The star also teased that there will plenty surprises as two new designers join the line-up.
She added: “We’ve got six episodes and a real variation….
“That kind of sense of what a garden can do for a wider community, not just for a family. So yeah bigger crew, bigger ambitions.
“And off the back of last series, we’ve got people who have a real sense of what they want and what they can get. It’s exciting.”
The gardening show stunned fans last year when a couple’s home received a show-stopping transformation.
Your Garden Made Perfect returns February 4th on BBC Two.
