Police confirmed they responded to a 911 call at around 11.30am from Cloud’s mother, Lisa, reporting a “possible overdose,” although the cause of his death is yet to be confirmed.

Cloud, born Conor Angus Cloud Hickey, died just days after a funeral in Ireland for his dad, Conor Hickey Sr., who passed away in May and was described as his “best friend”.

Now, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal that Cloud, 25, who reportedly struggled with drug abuse, was seen at a music event near the family home in California on Friday night.

He attended the debut album launch party of MacArthur Maze, a Bay Area-based rap group, with his close friend and the band’s photographer, Josh Kennedy.

Exclusive photos taken by his pal show him smiling while wearing glasses and a hat over a patterned bandana.

Friends say he was at the late-night bash for “a few hours” and hid any signs of personal struggle.

Josh exclusively told The U.S. Sun: “We grew up together. It’s been tough today. Friday, that was the last day I saw him, he came to our record release party.

“He was happy, very happy to be home. He was in Ireland for a while, we spoke about his dad recently, he was sad about it, but he seemed to be doing okay.

“I don’t even think he drank [at the event], I didn’t see him drinking, but I don’t know, I was working taking photographs.”

FUTURE PLANS

Josh said he was there to support the rap group, while member D.Bledsoe also revealed to The U.S. Sun the young actor spoke about plans for the future.

He said: “We just met in person this past Friday at our record release celebration. He wanted to direct a music video for us.”

Josh went on to say it was a normal evening, and Cloud posed for photographs and was seen fooling around in professional video footage he shot for the event.

He said he was stunned to receive a call from a close friend about his death on Monday, saying: “I feel sick, I just feel sad. I just came from a job, I found out on the job.

“Everything is still so new to me, so yeah, I have no idea [what happened]. I’ve just basically been sitting here, trying to do other things and stay busy.”

Josh said he has reached out to other friends and family who planned to host a private memorial on Monday evening at a location in Oakland, close to his home.

He went on to say he feels “terrible” for Cloud’s mother Lisa, who was already grieving the loss of her husband.

ADDICTION STRUGGLE

Asked about the actor’s publicized struggle with drug addiction, Josh revealed that he’d been there for his famous friend, saying: “We have had talks plenty of times. But you know, at the end of the day, you can’t control everything.

“Things will just play out. Sadly, sometimes it’s just terrible.

“He’s been through a lot, before Euphoria really. Just problems in general, life issues, and going through situations. It’s hard.”

Josh explained in Oakland, nobody treated him as a celebrity as he was more like family, with most using his birth name, Conor Hickey, after his family originated from Ireland.

His friend described Angus as “kind-hearted” and someone with the biggest smile who was always the joker and rarely serious.

“He was just a good guy all the way around, I can’t say anything bad about him,” Josh said.

He revealed he was also humble after he was approached by a talent spotter and found fame on HBO’s Euphoria, alongside actress Zendaya, seemingly overnight.

“He actually told me once before that he felt bad because there are a lot of kids that really wanna be actors and they really are trying to do that, and it’s probably hard for them to get to where he was at.

“He just really cared about that a lot.”

HUMBLE STAR

The actor’s friend continued: “I thought that said a lot about his heart and his character, to still think about other people that are trying to get there.

“Some people get to that place and then they don’t even care about whoever else is trying to get there.

“I’ve been with him out to eat in LA plenty of times, just me and him, and he’d sit there and take every picture without complaining.

“And then maybe later on in the car, he’d say, ‘Oh man, it’s kind of crazy. you know, I’m blessed to even be in that position to have people love me.”

Cloud‘s family has broken their silence on the death of the young star, releasing a statement to TMZ as his co-stars and fans around the world paid tribute on social media.

His family’s statement began: “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.

“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.

“Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”

The family concluded: “We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
