AMERICA’S Next Top Model alum CariDee English was rushed to the hospital after she suffered a serious head injury while intoxicated.
The 37-year-old’s health scare was a result of an addiction relapse.
On Sunday, CariDee took to Instagram to reveal the experience in case “anyone feels alone in their addiction.”
The ANTM alum wrote: “Early on Monday I sustained a serious head injury. I still am putting the pieces together. I have had multiple seizures (my first) and mobility issues I’m currently fighting hard for!”
CariDee explained that she struggles with addiction and was intoxicated at the time.
After admitting she was “going through the rollercoaster of emotions,” she noted that “addiction is a disease.”
The TV personality continued: “My relapse is heartbreaking to myself and the ones around me. I am surrounded by compassion and a wonderful team at Cedars.
“When I am released I will be spending the next 6 months at a wonderful out patient rehabilitation center, that will support me in my recovery of addiction and support my mental health.”
She continued: “I ask for positive messages and privacy, as I’m taking this hour to hour. Soon it will be one day at a time.”
CarDiee concluded the text post by telling her Instagram followers that she “loves” them and adding butterfly, dove, pink heart and goddess emojis.
The slides concluded with a photo of CariDee in the hospital.
She had a black eye, while the model wore a face mask under her chin as she donned a serious expression.
Alongside the post, CariDee wrote: “#StopTheStigma.”

In addition to her modeling career, CariDee hosted the Oxygen reality show Pretty Wicked from 2009-2010.
She had small acting roles on One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl, while CariDee made several appearances on the Tyra Banks Show.
