IT’S fair to say Married At First Sight Australia season 9 has been the most explosive series EVER.
But one couple who has caused the most drama are Carolina Santos and Daniel Holmes – who started the experiment wed to other people.

From Jessika Power and Dan Webb to Coco Stedman and Cameron Dunne, Married At First Sight Australia has seen its fair share of contestants finding romance with other people on the show.
Season 9 is no different, and at the centre of the 2022 cheating scandal is Daniel Holmes and Carolina Santos.
Carolina was married to Dion Giannarelli, and Daniel to Jessica Seracino.

Daniel’s marriage broke up almost immediately, but Carolina let her’s to Dion play out longer – seemingly to stay on the show for longer.
But behind Dion’s back Carolina and Dan started an affair.
As of April 2022, the pair are still together.
The couple appeared on Australia’s Channel Nine’s Today show to let viewers know they have no regrets.
“Well we never really had anything with our partners apart from a fake marriage and an experiment really,” Carolina said.
“It’s not like we had an emotional or physical connection with any of them, so we didn’t think we owed them anything.”
Revealing they are now in a serious relationship, Daniel, continued: “We are in love, we live together and we are just being ourselves.”
What happened when Dan and Carolina got together?
Daniel and Carolina came clean in the Commitment Ceremony played out in the UK on April 4, 2002 (in Australia it aired on March 13, 2022) – about roughly two weeks after they started their affair behind Dion’s back.
The group were obviously shocked, with Samantha Moitzi saying she was “going to be sick” and Domenica Calarco calling it “disgusting.”
Most of the couples walked out of the room upon finding out, with producers making them return so that the experts could finish off the episode.
John Aiken told Carolina and Daniel there was “no way” they would be allowed to stay and called out how their behaviour had hurt the others.

Married at First Sight Australia airs Monday and Thursday evenings each week at 7.30pm on E4.
