A much-loved BBC Breakfast star was noticeably absent from the show today following a week of hosting shake-ups. Carol Kirkwood, who regularly presents the weather updates on the programme, was nowhere to be seen.
Matt Taylor takes the reins
Matt Taylor stepped in to keep viewers informed on the weather across the UK. Appearing via video link, he joined Jon Kay and Sally Nugent in the BBC Breakfast studio to cover the latest news and topics.
Naga Munchetty's absence
This comes after a week of hosting changes on the show, as Naga Munchetty was missing from the programme for the entire week. Naga, who usually presents BBC Breakfast alongside Charlie Stayt on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, was replaced by Sarah Campbell.
Sally Nugent missing
In addition, Sally Nugent was absent from the show on Wednesday after attending the National Television Awards the previous evening. Tina Daheley, on the other hand, stood in alongside Jon.
Viewer reactions

More shake-ups on Tuesday
To cap off the eventful week, both Sally and Jon were absent from Tuesday's show, with Tina hosting once again, this time with Ben Boulos.
