BIG Brother fans were left fuming after Marcello made a ‘misogynistic’ remark towards a female co-star in tonight’s show. ITV2 viewers slammed the ‘disgusting’ housemate, 34, for asking Sarah, 27, if she was ‘on her period’ due to her sullen mood. In a morning scene from the bedroom, the youth mentor was heard telling her: "You smell like period and teabags."
Backlash on social media
After his comment, the Spa account manager repeated, "I beg your pardon?" as he ignored her. Sarah called him out, saying: "That’s not what you said, you said period and teabags." Marcello, making matters worse, asked under his breath: "Is it that time of the month?" Fans rushed to social media as they blasted him over the shocking exchange.
Continued controversy
Earlier this week, viewers once again begged for Marcello to get the boot after he made a ‘sexist’ comment about hot water usage. Marcello was quick to turn his nose up at some of the girls who said they planned to wash with wet wipes and told them: "Men are supposed to be stinking." Viewers once again were shocked by his comments and have called for show bosses to evict him.
