There’s a rumour going round that Jodie is having a fling with Max
But Jodie refuses to be known as Max’s daughter
Out of anger, Ryan tells Donna that he thinks Max is sleeping with Jodie.
Donna does some investigating and find out that Max gave Jodie’s work an unexpectedly glowing review.
Donna confronts him about his affair with Jodie.
Max is perplexed by the accusation and warns Donna that a rumour like that could damage Jodie’s career.
Concerned about the rumours circulating about them, Max tells Jodie that they should keep their distance.
Rida warns Jodie that there’s a rumour going round that she’s having a fling with Max.
Rida advises her friend to tell the truth, but Jodie refuses as she doesn’t want to be known as ‘Max’s daughter’.
Meanwhile, Jan tells Gethin she’s taking on a reduced shift in order to be home to look after him.
But when Gethin burns himself on a kettle, he snaps at Jan that he doesn’t need her help, leaving Jan feeling hurt.
At work, Jan is upset to witness the resuscitation of a woman who was ready to die.
She later stumbles upon Mary’s strong painkillers, which were left in the ambulance.
She decides to give these to Gethin, as he really wants her to help him die.
Elsewhere, Jacob isn’t coping and bails on his call with a therapist.
Jacob declines an offer of going out with the paramedics and returns to Billie’s bar instead.
He tells her the truth about how he’s been coming in so often because it’s an excuse to see her.
Sparks fly as they have a drink together.
At the end of the night, Jacob gives into temptation and kisses Billie, finally feeling less alone.
