CORONATION Street’s Alya Nazir is left horrified after her brother Zeedan makes a decision about his ex-wife Marrium.
Zeedan – played by Qasim Akhtar – got a shock earlier this month when Marrium arrived in Weatherfield.
It was the first time the former couple had seen each other since Zeedan cheated on Marrium – believing their marriage to be over – before heading back to the North West.
Despite what happened between them, and the terror Marrium’s father has inflicted on Zeedan and his family in recent weeks, the couple start to reconnect.
As Zeedan and Alya start to rebuild Speed Daal following the arson attack at the hands of Marrium’s father’s henchmen, Marrium offers to help with the decorating.
While Zeedan is pleased, Alya is unnerved, however, he assures Alya that Marrium will be returning to London very soon and out of their hair.
As the restaurant gets closer to reopening, Alya reminds her brother it’s time to get shot of his ex-wife.
But in Victoria Garden, Zeedan and Marrium admit they’re going to miss each other and kiss tenderly.
Later, Zeedan confesses to Marrium that he’s still in love with her and reckons they should give their marriage another chance.
Marrium admits she feels the same and suggests she moves up to Manchester, Zeedan’s taken aback.
How will Alya react to this development?
These episodes will air week beginning January 3, 2022 on ITV.
