Daisy and Daniel spend more time together

Could romance be in the cards again for Weatherfield High teacher Daniel (played by actor Rob Mallard)?

After their brief relationship, Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) still harbours feelings for Daniel, despite him setting his sights on newcomer Lydia Chambers (Rebecca Ryan).

When the latter doubted Daniel after she learned his troubled past with Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), Daisy was there to save the day and sing his praises to the Underworld PA.

The pair have been growing closer once again, leading to Daniel confessing he did push Max Turner (Paddy Bever) down the stairs, which resulted in a terrible tumble.

The teacher is also adamant on coming clean to David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), Max’s adoptive father, about the fall.

Daniel even shared a kiss with the Rovers’ barmaid and eventually broke things off with Lydia.

This will culminate in a decision in upcoming scenes of the ITV soap, due on our screens next week.

As Weathefield students enjoy the Valentine’s dance, Daisy and Daniel spend more time together in the Rovers’ back room.

Leaning in for a kiss, Daisy is welcomed by a responsive Daniel.

The pair head upstairs after blowing out the candle.

Later on, and amid the investigation around Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) being spiked with GHB, Daisy and Daniel decide to give their relationship another go.

This could cause some new drama between Daisy, Daniel and Lydia as Corrie fans have already predicted a sinister turn of events for the barmaid.

Since her arrival in the cobbles, Lydia has left viewers scratching their heads as they attempt to figure out her true motives.

While she was romantically involved with Daniel, it was speculated she was only giving him a chance to get to his nephew Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), who is also her former boyfriend.

Branded a “bunny boiler”, Lydia’s reputation is already tarnished by the promise of a love triangle à la Fatal Attraction from Corrie boss Iain MacLeod.

Could Lydia cause trouble for the Daniel and Daisy?

Is she also responsible for the intimidation campaign targeting Adam and Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien)?

Do Daniel and Daisy really have a future together despite their setbacks?

Only time will tell: tune in to ITV to find out.
