CORONATION Street’s Emma Brooker is left devastated and orders fiance Curtis Delamere to pack his bags after the truth behind his illness is revealed.
Savvy fans of the ITV soap had already started to smell a rat over the medical student’s mystery terminal condition.
And they will soon be proven correct as bride-to-be Emma makes a heart-stopping discovery about her man in upcoming Coronation Street scenes.
Emma, played by Alexandra Mardell, babysits for Hope and Ruby when she becomes distracted by Curtis’ medical DVD.
The medic on it uses the exact same phrase as Curtis’ illness and, while she contemplates the coincidence, she takes her eye off the ball as Fizz’s daughter Ruby swallows one of his pills.
Terrified, former hair stylist Emma takes the tot to A&E and tells how they are pills for her spouse-to-be’s heart condition.
Yet the doctor insists Ruby has only taken a vitamin pill, leaving Emma – who was already fretting about Curtis taking on a Three Peaks challenge – confused.
When Curtis returns home she angrily confronts him about the pill box.
She also meets a dead end when she questions Dr Handley about Curtis’ condition.
Emma then takes her fury out on Curtis’ dad Neville – who she was initially told had died – in an attempt to discover the truth.

TRUTH EXPOSED
Yet, as it so often is, the painful truth is finally exposed when Curtis reveals he has faked his terminal illness all along.
He explained how he pretended he was ill as a way to get attention while his parents were undergoing a divorce.
Yet he enjoyed the attention and care he was getting and found himself unable to stop the deception.
In another blow, Curtis admits his medical training was also a lie.
Emma promptly orders him to pack his bags and insists she will never be able to trust him again.
Yet she later accompanies him to a psychologist appointment where Curtis pours out his heart.
He turns to Emma and tries to insist they give things another go, and that he loves her dearly.
He pleads with her to go ahead with their wedding the following day – but will she?
Meanwhile, Emma’s dad Steve – unaware of the web of lies from his prospective son in law – asks him to transfer the £100k they have raised to his now-deceased son Oliver’s bank account.
Yet just what will happen to the cash on the eve of Curtis’ wedding?
CLUED UP
Meanwhile ITV viewers became increasingly wary of Curtis and his terminal diagnosis months ago, after spotting a string of “highly suspicious” clues.
Viewers were baffled by Curtis’ behaviour after he began acting very cagey about his heart condition.
He left fans sceptical as he often tried not to disclose too much information about his illness.
Recently, viewers were quick to notice that Curtis didn’t speak to a health care professional while at the hospital after collapsing.
One suspicious fan wrote: “I wonder if Curtis is faking his health condition?”
A second shared: “Curtis what’s happening…sick or not…getting a little strange now.”
A third commented: “I’ve come to the conclusion that Curtis isn’t actually ill, never any doctors or treatment only hearsay crap and he’s not even studying to be a doctor.”
