Coronation Street spoilers: Johnny Connor sees visions of dead son Aidan in prison as cellmate in suicide bid

JOHNNY Connor sees visions of his dead son Aidan next week after his cellmate takes an overdose.

The Rovers Return landlord – who is played by actor Richard Hawley in the ITV soap – was devastated when Aidan took his own life in 2018 after a secret battle with depression.

Johnny turns down a game of pool with his cellmate

Johnny discovered his son’s body at his flat after Aiden failed to turn up for work at the factory. 

Viewers will see Johnny decline a game of pool with his fellow prisoner Joe next week.

Johnny’s son Aidan took his own life in 2018 after battling depression

But he immediately regrets turning down his offer when he later discovers that Joe has taken an overdose in his cell. 

Meanwhile, Jenny is upset to hear Daisy being rude about Johnny, but when Daisy apologises Jenny quickly forgives her. 

In prison, Johnny sees mice and cockroaches and when he glances up, he thinks he can see Aidan. 



Johnny admits he’s been hallucinating to Carla

Carla visits later and asks him about his health, forcing Johnny to admits his eyesight has deteriorated and that he’s hallucinating.

When Johnny admits he’s been seeing his son, Carla makes him promise he’ll speak to the prison doctor.

Johnny heads back to his cell with no intention of visiting the doctor, but he’s thrown when he’s summoned by the doctor later. 



Johnny eventually tells Jenny about his hallucinations

When Carla admits to Roy that she’s broken her promise and phoned the prison, he assures her she’s done the right thing.

Later, Johnny tells Gary he can see a ginger cat and that he’s worried about his eyesight. 

Johnny calls Carla and tells her the doctor is referring her to a psychiatrist. 

Later, Johnny finally calls Jenny and opens up about his hallucinations.

Corrie viewers know that Johnny was sent to prison last year and sentenced to eight months for a historic armed robbery that killed a man.

This week, Johnny will contact Jenny and tell her the bad news that doctors have confirmed his condition has worsened.

While Rita is sympathetic, Jenny’s stepdaughter will encourage her to dump Johnny and set her sights elsewhere.
