ALTHOUGH she betrayed his trust, Kevin Webster can’t help but care for his estranged wife Abi.
The Coronation Street mechanic proves his love by helping her run away from the cobbles and flee the country with Alfie.
Recent episodes of the long-running ITV soap have shown Imran Habeeb’s underhanded tactics worked a charm in his battle for Alfie’s custody.
This leads to the baby’s mother Abi (portrayed by Sally Carman) retaliating, more than determined to get her son back.
In order to do this, she stoops down to the same level as the solicitor played by Charlie De Melo and makes plans to leave Weatherfield altogether.
Abi has recently been seen getting fake passports ready for her and baby Alfie as she picked Costa Rica to be their next destination.

But amid her cautious planning behind Imran and Toyah’s (Georgia Taylor) backs, Abi receives the unexpected support of her estranged husband Kevin (Michael Le Vell).
Coming up, despite admitting he was still in love with her, Kevin doesn’t expect Abi to stay behind just for him and gladly helps her plan to flee the country with Alfie.
This involves not saying a word to Imran about Abi’s plan, after getting some advice from his sister Debbie (Sue Devaney).
However, while Kevin and Abi are getting closer before the latter leaves the cobbles, one major event could change everything.
Confronted by Kelly Neelan over his terrible behaviour, Imran goes through a crisis of conscience and decides to come clean before it’s too late.
His lies are slowly unravelling and he decides to leave Toyah a message in which he confesses to everything he has done.
This includes bribing private investigator Ben, getting him to lie in court about Abi’s drug relapse.
