THE battle between Peter Barlow and Dr Henry Thorne continues next week in the cobbles.
However, some shocking news about the surgeon will rattle the Coronation Street cabbie.
Peter Barlow (portrayed by Chris Gascoyne) still has a bone to pick with Dr Thorne (Dominic Mafham) after the surgeon made a mockery of his liver transplant.
In recent scenes of the Manchester-based soap, Peter first retaliated with physical violence by introducing Dr Thorne to his fist in a restaurant.
This prompted Peter’s wife Carla (Alison King) to take a stand for her man and imploring Dr Thorne to drop any charges he had filed against Peter.
More than determined to take advantage of the situation, Dr Thorne tried to manipulate Carla into having dinner with him, promising he would let Peter off the hook.

But Peter is just as ready to set the record straight, although this could be harder than expected.
Coming up, after a meeting with his nephew, solicitor Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), Peter angrily tells Carla that there isn’t enough evidence to bring Dr Thorne to justice.
The Underworld factory manager tells him that he should let the issue go, considering the havoc his anger previously wreaked – but Peter won’t be following her advice.
Ken Barlow (William Roache) and Simon (Alex Bain) are concerned when Peter decides to take matters into his own hands again by getting Dr Thorne to confess to malpractice.
In later scenes, Peter meets Dr Thorne and demands a full confession along with an apology.
But the surgeon is on to him and, after immediately sussing his game, forces Peter to reveal his phone which is recording.
Peter battled an alcohol addiction and severely endangered his health.
