Snoop Dogg, a Self-Confessed Fan of Coronation Street

CORONATION Street star Jack P Shepherd has told how a US rap star Snoop Dogg sent the cast a surprise video to celebrate the soap's 50th anniversary. Snoop, real name Calvin Broadus Jr, is already a self-confessed fan of the legendary soap – having revealed hopes of getting a cameo one day.

Snoop Dogg's Personal Message to the Cast

As the Sun previously revealed, Snoop, 53, is also a huge fan of ITV’s Coronation Street and fancies propping up the bar at the Rovers Return. Now Jack and his co-stars Colson Smith and Ben Price have spilled the tea about the rapper's personal message he sent to the cobbles.

Jack P Shepherd Recalls the Excitement

Jack said on their podcast, On The Sofa with Colson, Jack and Ben: "Do you remember when he sent the video to us at the live episode party? They put it up on the screen of Snoop going 'yo, yo, yo, Coronation Street, 50 years man, that's sick'. He was loving it. It was mad."

Snoop Dogg's Love for Coronation Street

The Drop It Like It’s Hot star sent the message to celebrate the soap's 50th year – following its famous tram crash in 2010. Snoop previously told The Celeb Report: "Coronation Street, I love it. If they call me I’ll do it. I’ll play whenever they need."
