She teamed up for a smiley snap with ITV co-star Colson Smith which sent fans wild
The actress previously starred in Corrie from 2015 to 2020 and has stayed close to Tina O’Brien, 40 — her on-screen mum Sarah Platt — and Colson Smith, 25, who plays Bethany’s pal Craig Tinker.
Prior to her on-screen comeback Lucy has hit the town with her pals.
She joined Tina and Colson, as well as co-stars Paddy Bever, 20, Julia Goulding, 38, and Jack P Shepherd, 35, for a fun night of dancing.
Lucy looked stunning in a designer Ganni logo T-Shirt and green metallic skirt.
She finished off with green court shoe heels and a poker-straight hairstyle.
The soap favourite cuddled up for a group snap with the cast before posting a solo shot to Instagram.
She then teamed up with Colson for a fun-filled snap which proved hugely popular with Coronation Street fans.
He posted the snap with the playful caption: “Look what the cat dragged in…” before Lucy quipped back: “I don’t collaborate with just anyone ……..”
Fans were quick to comment with one writing: “Bethany and Craig’s reunion 3 years later.”
Another put: “Let’s hope the writers do what they looked like they were about to do years ago – was such a lovely love story.”
A third gushed: “SCREAMING AH,” while another surmised: “The best duo!!”
Award-winning actress Lucy had a baby boy, Sonny, in January with Preston North End footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson, 25.
Lucy – whose character left Weatherfield for a magazine internship in London three years ago – will start filming in the coming months and her first scenes will air “after Christmas.”
She was hailed for her performances over a grooming storyline and won the Best Female Dramatic Performance at the 2018 British Soap Awards.
A TV source said: “Lucy is one of soap’s most talented actresses who won lots of awards for her powerful portrayal of Bethany’s grooming storyline.
“She was destined for big things and everyone was sad to see her go but the door was always going to be left open for someone of her calibre and popularity.
“Bosses reached out to her a few weeks ago about the possibility of coming back, and told her everything they’d planned for Bethany if she agreed.
“She discussed it with her boyfriend, and family, because she’s a mum now with a baby.
“Once they’d talked about childcare, and how best to juggle it all, she was able to say she’d love to return.”
In 2021, Blackpool-born Lucy said of a possible return: “Never say never.
“I didn’t leave for a particular reason or because I didn’t like it.
“I left because I wanted to go down different avenues.”
