Lauren Bolton Rejects Roy Cropper's Offer of Help
Lauren Bolton returned to Coronation Street in search of a fresh start, but things have taken a turn for the worse. The wayward teen finds herself homeless after refusing Roy Cropper's assistance. Determined to do things on her own, will Lauren succeed?
Roy Cropper: Weatherfield's Guardian Angel
Soap legend Roy Cropper, played by David Neilson, has made a habit of taking troubled characters under his wing on the cobbles. From caring for Carla Connor to supporting Fiz Brown during her troubled times, Roy has always been there. But has he bitten off more than he can chew with Lauren?
Lauren's Rough Journey
Lauren's return to Weatherfield was meant to rekindle her relationship with Max Turner. However, Max has moved on with another girl named Sabrina and wants to impress her. Attempting to help Lauren settle in, Max is horrified when she goes on a destructive rampage in Audrey Roberts' hair salon. Feeling rejected, Lauren finds herself in trouble with the police and without a place to live.
The Ambivalent Max Turner
Despite reassuring Lauren and vowing to keep her misdeeds a secret, Max eventually turns on her. Now, he continues with his own life while leaving Lauren to deal with the consequences of her actions. Meanwhile, his father David Platt advises him to steer clear of Lauren altogether.
Roy's Unwavering Support
Despite their strained relationship, Roy is determined to help Lauren. He wants to contact social services to find her a place to live, but she insists on sorting things out herself. Will Lauren be able to accept help in the end? Will she find a new place to call home in Weatherfield? Or will she decide to leave again?
