CORRIE’S Rachel Leskovac has confirmed her character Natasha Blakeman will return to the cobbles.
The soap actress revealed she had been chatting with her on-screen son Sam, played by Jude Riordan, nine, before gushing that she couldn’t wait to start filming with him again soon.
Rachel, 44, who plays Natasha Blakeman in the soap, recently returned to Corrie after a 10-year absence in September with her and Nick Tilsey’s son Sam.
After reappearing in Corrie, Natasha and Nick have been getting reacquainted as Nick forges a relationship with their son.
The timing was cruel when Nick discovered he had a long-lost son with his ex after Leanne’s son Oliver was diagnosed with mitochondrial disorder.
Natasha agrees to leave Sam with Nick for the three months she’ll be in London – and lets him move into her flat for Christmas.
What with Natasha’s move, many viewers began questioning whether she was leaving the programme for good.
But now she has confirmed she will be filming scenes for the soap again.
On Saturday, Rachel tweeted how she recently video-chatted with her on-screen son, who left her in “stitches”.
“Video call with @JudeRiordan the other day and he had me in stitches,” she posted. “So much love for that young man – absolutely gorgeous and very funny too. Can’t wait to start filming again with you soon.”
The actress then tagged Coronation Street’s official Twitter account, before concluding her tweet with the hashtag “#littlelegend” in regards to nine-year-old Jude.
