Dancing on Ice’s Connor Ball reveals FOUR horrific injuries as he battles back with ‘very personal’ performance

DANCING On Ice star Connor Ball has been through the wringer on the ITV show and has now revealed that he’s suffered FOUR horrific injuries.

It comes after The Vamps star, 25, crashed to the ice last month with partner Alexandra Schaumann during their pirate theme dance.

He needed medical treatment straight after the routine and shared footage of himself getting stitches backstage.

Earlier this month Connor was left with blood dripping onto his shirt after stitches on his chin burst open live on air.

The popstar has now told fans that he also suffered a dislocated shoulder and extensive bruising.

“I split my chin open and I have five stitches in there! I dislocated my shoulder as well,” he told Lorraine this morning.

“I also ripped my leg open and have stitches down there there too and there are a lot of bruises.”

He added: “I have imposter syndrome about being this near the end where I don’t think I can do it I think ‘why am I there.'”

Despite Connor’s knocks, he’s coming back stronger this week as he performs to a songs that he wrote about male mental health.

He added: “I will dance to my own song this week, it’s a song about male mental health, and it is released on Sunday after the show. It is a song that I can relate to.”

It comes after viewers rallied behind Connor who they think keeps getting undermarked by the judges.

Against the odds, injury-prone Connor Ball made it to the semi-finals – after he managed to stay on his feet for his entire routine.

Connor and partner Alexandra Schauman surprised fans with a quirky routine to the song Cecilia by Simon and Garfunkel.

They pulled off the fun dance during the show dedicated to figure skating legends and DOI judges, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

He was told by judges they’d “never seen him like that” and praised him for trying something new.

But Ashley Banjo admitted the star’s injury in his legs from the previous week’s show may have held him back.

Overall the pair scored 35 with Ashley and Oti Mabuse giving them 8.5 and the skating legends giving 9 each.

Fans watching at home were very unimpressed and argued Connor was deliberately being undermarked.

“People don’t give connor enough credit for the effort he puts into this, he’s the only contestant left who doesn’t have some sort of dance/sporting background, no matter what happens tonight i’m so proud of him for coming this far!!” complained one fan on Twitter.

Another added: “When Regan stumbles its character building. When Connor is brought down by his partner, he is docked a whole point. What am I not seeing? Connor’s skate was beautiful tonight + he was undermarked.”

And a third wrote: “Connor is always so relentlessly undermarked every single week it’s infuriating !”

Connor revealed on Sunday he had to undergo treatment for a nasty cut on his leg – which made host Holly Willoughby want to “throw up”.

The musician was left with a gory gash after the tumble, with Dancing On Ice fans getting a glimpse into the chaos after he came off the ice.
