DAWN French has revealed she let her husband cut her hair with a knife.
The 63-year-old – who has been documenting her hair journey with fans – shared a snap of him in action over the weekend.
She told her followers: “Husb decides to give me a ‘home trim’ … send help.” (sic)
The snap went down very well with them – particularly the fact he appeared to be using a Swiss Army knife to do it.
The star has been married to therapist Mark Bignell since 2013. She was previously married to fellow comedian Lenny Henry.
Dawn recently ditched her brown bob for short cropped look – and fans are loving the fact she’s embracing her natural colour.
A few weeks ago she compared herself to a very well known American actress that has starred in the likes of Freaky Friday and Halloween.
But her husband pointed out similarities to one of the the Chasers from the popular ITV gameshow.
Dawn told fans: “Hair update. 3 shades of grey (working up to the 50) I’ve chopped even more off.
“I’m thinking I’m giving it solid Jamie Lee Curtis. Husband says I’m giving it full Anne Hegerty…. Righto. In your face husband, coz BOTH are Ishtar…”
Earlier this year Dawn revealed she was embracing her grey hair – and had a surprise undercut hair cut.
The Vicar Of Dibley actress said at the time: “Going lighter bit by bit to happily welcome the grey… with an undercut surprise..!
“Hello there woman in her 60s….”
