DEATH in Paradise viewers were hooked on the show’s latest murder mystery as it returned to screens tonight – but there was one small gripe.
Armchair sleuths claimed that it was too easy guessing the killer after Ralf Little’s detective Neville Parker made the reveal in the dying minutes.

Bertram Sworder was killed by his wife
Fraudulent astronomer Professor Bertram Sworder was offed by his wife Miriam after she discovered he’d built his reputation by ripping off friend Jeremy Herbert’s work.
It made her question their entire 42-year relationship, and so she sabotaged a joint plot they’d made to fake his death to stop his lies being rumbled by the wider world.
One viewer posted on Twitter: “Called it. Bit too easy.”
Another said: “I knew it was the wife.”
A third posted: “The wife. She’s the only one without an obvious motive.”
The other suspects in the frame were Jeremy, who had been informed about Bertram’s wrongdoing by the late professor’s illegitimate son Sunil.
Prior to his death, Bertram created a fake death plot that to convince those seeking revenge that he was dead.
During a stargazing session he intended to slip away from the group and pretend he’d fallen off a cliff edge before being washed out to sea.
However, incensed Miriam shoved him over the edge for real and made it look like an accident.
She then hid the evidence in a secret room in their villa where Bertram had intended to hide after their stunt.
Once Neville told Miriam the game was up, she came clean and admitted she saw red as her husband teetered on the edge of the cliff. She was then arrested.
The episode ended on a lighter note with Neville kissing Sophie Chambers, who is on the island for a 10 day stay.
But will it be a happy holiday romance or does Sophie have skeletons of her own?
