Host of I'm A Celebrity Spends Day at Cabarita Beach with Kids

Declan Donnelly, popular host of I'm A Celebrity, had a close encounter with a venomous snake during a day out at Cabarita Beach with his children, Isla and Jack. Warning signs were posted just meters away from where they were enjoying their time.

Deadly Threat Lurking

The snake, known as the common brown snake, is an extremely venomous species that can grow up to 2 meters in length. Despite its subtle color and slender build, it can go undetected, making it even more dangerous. Queensland environmental experts warn that a single bite can cause paralysis.

Fast and Ferocious

The eastern brown snake, as it is also called, is fast-moving and active during the day. It is often found around houses and sheds, searching for prey such as rats, mice, and lizards. When provoked, the snake will strike with extreme speed and ferocity, often inflicting a series of bites. The initial effects of the venom, including severe headaches, appear within 15 minutes, while paralysis develops slowly. Antivenin is typically administered before paralysis occurs.

Regular Briefings on Australian Wildlife

As part of their preparation for filming I'm A Celebrity, both Declan Donnelly and his co-host Ant would have received regular briefings on Australian wildlife, including how to identify and handle dangerous creatures.

Fun in the Sun Before Filming

Declan and his wife Ali Astall have been enjoying family time in their favorite Gold Coast spot before the start of filming. The couple has been spotted having breakfast and enjoying a curry dinner together. They have been married since August 2015 and have two children, Isla and Jack.

Ant McPartlin Excited for Reunion

Ant McPartlin, who arrived at Brisbane Airport on Sunday, expressed his excitement for the upcoming season of I'm A Celebrity. He is looking forward to reuniting with his co-host Declan and jokingly mentioned Dec's tan lines from his holiday. Ant also praised the strong cast, including the addition of political figure Nigel Farage.
