EASTENDERS star Cheryl Fergison looked very different to her old character Heather Trott in a smiley new selfie.
The 56-year-old actress – recently seen alongside Sheridan Smith in Sky’s Christmas spectacular – shared a glam shot with fans.
Writing yesterday she spoke about “all the challenges I have been given so far” insisting: “Many would crumble and fall.”
Cheryl was a regular on EastEnders since joining nearly 15 years ago, in 2007.
Sadly she was forced offscreen in 2012 after being hit over the head with a picture frame by Ben Mitchell.
Despite being dead, the character did pop up briefly in 2016 when Dot Cotton found a mixtape with her voice on it.
Since then Cheryl has appeared in Celebrity Big Brother, David Walliams sitcom Big School and the BGT star’s Christmas drama Hansel and Gretel After Ever After.
Writing alongside her picture post on Instagram yesterday she wrote: “Visualising all the good things that will make this the perfect year in my work, with my family, in my health and to finally have a secure financial future…
“If I visualise they are here then all I have to do is to work at them all to the best of my ability…
“Getting rid of the things I don’t need and concentrating on the things that I do need remains my goals and this is mainly what keeps me happy , focused and loved.
“Strength is from within and from all the challenges I have been given so far…
“Many would crumble and fall but in my world giving up is not an option and remembering where it all started is my grounding…
“May work come in abundance so that I may continue to be humbled in my profession.
“I write these thoughts and re read them when I stumble to allow myself time to breath and to remind myself it’s all ok .
“Remember kindness brings a smile and makes a permanent mark in someone’s heart
.”
Cheryl’s fans praised her positive attitude, with one writing: “Loved to see you in a drama
hope this year brings you lots of choices
.”
Although Cheryl says she has moved on from Albert Square, she did present a storyline that could bring Heather back.
Speaking during a 2020 appearance on Loose Women she said: “I had this idea when they took me out of it that they could bring back Heather’s long lost twin.
“It didn’t happen and you know what, I live up north now so it’s the cobbles or the Dales.”
Cheryl also stunned Loose Women viewers with her singing voice and revealed her dream of performing with Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi.
