WHITNEY Dean is playing on Janine Butcher’s insecurities as the latter focuses on her relationship with Mick Carter.
EastEnders fans are asking soap bosses to push the Vic landlord to rekindle his affair with Whitney.
For months, Janine Butcher – portrayed by Charlie Brooks – has had her sights on Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and has finally managed to form a romantic bond with him.
However, many Walford residents and soap fans are seemingly against the pair being together.
In recent scenes, many viewers have noticed the lingering chemistry between Mick and his former flame Whitney Dean.
Following scenes showing Mick and Whitney bonding in Albert Square, soap bosses are asked to push the character played by Shona McGarty to sweep Mick off his feet and away from the EastEnders villain.

This could be a new beginning for a controversial storyline involving Mick and Whitney, while the latter was involved with his son Lee.
Indeed, in 2017, both characters had a short-lived affair as Mick’s wife Linda (Kellie Bright) was away from the Square.
The romance ended as soon as Linda returned and after Mick and Whitney shared a few kisses.
Fans are still convinced Whitney could be the perfect partner for Mick and have shared their opinions on Twitter during last night’s instalment of the BBC One show.
“Mick & Whitney flirting love it!!!!”, one viewer commented.
Another encouraged Mick to even forget about his estranged wife Linda, whose reliance on alcohol is causing trouble in Albert Square.
“Forget Linda, forget Janine just put Mick with Whitney”, the fan penned.
“She clearly brings him outta himself more than anyone they have a obvious connection/chemistry etc. Both have quite similar pasts with abuse trauma etc, so she wouldn’t judge him. Unlike Janine right?”
This is a reference to Mick having difficulty in being intimate with Janine due to being sexually abused by his care worker Katy Lewis when he was just 12 years old – which resulted in his daughter Frankie’s birth.
Another soap viewer wrote: “I really want Mick and Whitney leave Walford & start new life together. I’d miss them but after 2nights scenes they just make each other so happy
“Tonight’s scenes of Mick and Whitney reminded me good old days. They still have that connection, bond and the chemistry between them will never go away no matter who he’s with.”
“He will always have special place in his heart for Whitney.”
