Viewers recently learned the ex-husband of Suki Panesar is battling myocarditis, caused by a virus he caught and leaving him needing a heart transplant. But while EastEnders fans question whether this is all a sinister plan by Nish, Navin has said the baddie has "nothing to lose."

Navin, 53, also revealed playing such a twisted character has real-life consequences for him, leaving him 'afraid'. He explained that there have been moments when scenes have left him scared, expressing concerns about the impact of portraying a villain.
