EastEnders: Ruby Allen’s downfall explained as Stacey reveals her lies

RUBY Allen will have her web of lies exposed by Stacey Slater next week in EastEnders.

Ruby – who is played by Louisa Lytton in the BBC One soap – has faked a pregnancy to keep Martin close after fearing he would go back to his ex-wife Stacey.

What do we know about Ruby Allen’s downfall in EastEnders?

Ruby’s downfall will come in three stages next week as her deceit and deception is exposed.

Here’s the lowdown…

1. Iqra reveals Ruby was responsible for Martin’s attack

EastEnders viewers know that Vinny was working on Ruby’s orders when he was caught stealing from the club last year by Martin, meaning she’s partly to blame for Martin’s horror injuries when Vinny attacked him in order to escape.

Ruby had told Vinny to stage the robbery in an insurance scam after assuming Stacey was the mystery thief who was stealing her money.

But next week, Ruby’s lies will come back to bite her as Martin chats to Iqra in the cafe and reveals that absent Ruby is pregnant. 

Iqra later congratulates Ruby and Martin and tells them about Jags and Habiba’s baby news.

Later when Ruby goes out, Iqra heads to see Martin to tell him that it was Ruby’s fault that he got attacked.

2. Kush reveals Ruby was the mastermind behind his escape plan

Ruby’s part in the botched robbery that injured Martin isn’t the only secret she’s been keeping.

In an attempt to keep Martin away from his ex Stacey, viewers know that Ruby paid his friend Kush to run away with Arthur, knowing it would devastate Stacey. 

But next week viewers will see Martin ask Kush for advice following Iqra’s revelation about Ruby’s part in the robbery.

After filling Stacey in about Martin’s troubles, Kush admits that Ruby orchestrated his escape plan with Arthur.

Stacey is aghast by Martin’s revelation and, after growing convinced that Ruby is also faking her pregnancy, decides to take matters into her own hands. 

Ruby’s fake pregnancy is exposed

Viewers will of course know that, on top of lying about the robbery and Arthur’s kidnapping, Ruby is pretending to be pregnant with Martin’s baby to keep him close.

But next week viewers will see Stacey hatch a plan and tell Kush to meet her at the club.

Stacey pretends she wants to make peace with Ruby but soon makes clear the real reason she’s there – to prove Ruby is lying.

Will her plan to expose Ruby work or will she be able to worm her way out of this one?
