WHEN Karen Taylor offered Mitch Baker a spot in her bed, some viewers were hopeful to see them back together.
But they’re not alone as Bailey Baker (Kara-Leah Fernandes) is also adamant on bringing them back to each other in upcoming episodes of EastEnders.
Due to air next week, the instalments of the BBC One soap will see the 12-year-old hatch a plan to reignite their spark as Karen (Lorraine Stanley) and Mitch (Roger Griffiths) argue over their sleeping situation.
And while Karen complains to the young girl about a leak in the roof – which has been bothering the household since before the new year – Mitch receives a surprise delivery.
Bailey is pleased to see her plan working and is only encouraged when Karen receives her own parcel.

But while Karen is none the wiser, Bailey’s half-brother Keegan (Zack Morris) soon clocks on and Mitch catches up.
A sympathetic Mitch takes action by having a chat with his daughter Bailey.
He proceeds to remind her that she can’t make him and Karen fall in love again.
Later on, a playful Karen flirts with the delivery man that brought her her parcel.
Soon after, Bailey and Mitch overhear the mother-of-five talk about the driver but falsely assume that she is talking about her former partner.
Karen and Mitch have rekindled their romance on numerous occasions, the last time being in 2019, which eventually led to Mitch’s exit.
But after all the drama, including the death of their daughter Chantelle, Karen and Mitch have bonded as close friends.
This is potentially why Karen had no problem with giving Mitch a platonic place in her bed.
Mitch was frustrated to be relegated to the sofa after there was a roof leak in his bedroom.
Karen gave in when she found Mitch sleeping in the launderette after he had tried to ask Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) if he could stay with them.
But after believing Karen was swooning over him again, will Mitch realise his mistake?
Could Bailey’s interference make the former lovers change their minds about their relationship?
Will Mitch and Karen ever get back together?
