WITH Phil Mitchell facing a lifetime behind bars, Tommy Moon has grown increasingly scared of his school bullies.
Thankfully for the young boy, the EastEnders tough man has decided to help him despite his break up with his mother Kat Slater (portrayed by Jessie Wallace).
When long-term Walford villain Phil (played by Steve McFadden) announced he would be going to prison for a long time, Tommy (Sonny Kendall) was the first one to fear his impending exit.
This was mostly due to Tommy being bullied in school, alongside his half-sister Scarlett (Tabitha Byron).
Knowing that the Phil wouldn’t be around to protect him, Tommy came to the conclusion that he would be alone to face his bullies.

However, in upcoming scenes of the BBC One soap, Phil lends the schoolboy a helping hand.
When Tommy appears unwell at the office, Phil offers to take him home before getting him to open up.
The eleven-year-old admits he is having a hard time in school as he is being bullied.
Ready to protect him after hearing the troubling news, Phil assures Tommy he will be picking him up from now on.
Phil remains determined to help Kat with the kids, although she insists he owes her nothing.
EastEnders viewers remember that Phil broke things off with Kat after being presented with an ultimatum by DCI Samantha Keeble.
When Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) found out he was involved in her husband Vincent Hubbard’s death in April, 2018, she set out to get revenge.
This led to Phil being turned in to the police and, eventually, being urged to choose between a lifetime behind bars or freedom as a police informant.
Phil’s soft spot for his family is well-known so it was no surprise that he refused to endanger his close ones by becoming an informant.
Ready to face the music in spite of his surprisingly squeaky clean criminal record, Phil ended his relationship with Kat to spare her from heartbreak.
Kat has since been giving Phil the cold shoulder and upcoming scenes could see the owner of Kat’s Cabs swiftly move on from their romance.
How will she react to Phil helping Tommy with his bullies?
