EastEnders star Tameka Empson makes major blunder on Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel – and costs charity £5,000

EASTENDERS actress Tameka Empson made a hilarious blunder on Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel.

Appearing on the Christmas special last night, the star was left red-faced when she got an obvious question wrong.

But she blamed her long nails slipping on the screen for the error.

The question was: “In the UK, a silver sixpence is traditionally stirred in when preparing which Christmas food?”

Celebrity contestant Zoe Ball was given four answers to choose from: Mince pie, bread sauce, stuffing or Christmas pudding.

Zoe chose the answer Christmas pudding – and was right.

Host Michael said: “I’m presuming the whole wheel got that one right.”

“I wanted to put Christmas pudding, I really did.

“But it was my nails… I went like that [and slipped] so I pressed bread by mistake.”

Michael told her: “You weren’t the expert, so no harm done. But your nails did cost £5,000 from the prize fund.”

Tameka burst out laughing as she assumed Michael was joking – but it turned out she had lost £5k from the amount they had for charity.

“No it didn’t,” Tameka as she realised what she’d done.

Michael replied: “Well, yes because everyone needs to get it right.”

The Celeb Report revealed how host Michael is set to make £13million by selling his hit gameshow around the world.

The funnyman – who co-owns the rights to the programme – is taking the concept global after it proved a ratings winner on BBC1.

The Wheel sees contestants posed with questions as they sit in the centre of a 42-foot wide wheel surrounded by seven celebrities.

After it spins, the star sitting opposite has to help them provide the answers.
