From Hollywood to Counseling

Eliza Dushku, known for her roles in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Bring It On, has left acting behind to pursue a career in counseling and clinical mental health. The 43-year-old star is now a certified psychedelic-assisted therapist.

A Personal Journey

After trying the treatment herself for PTSD seven years ago, Eliza found her calling in helping others heal. She now uses her earnings from acting to fund medical research and clinical trials in Massachusetts.

A New Purpose

Eliza describes her new role as her "real purpose" and aims to help others heal from trauma. She lives in Boston with her family and celebrated 16 years of sobriety in November.

Challenges in Hollywood

Eliza's career shift comes after facing challenges in the industry, including accusations of sexual harassment by a co-star. She left the show Bull in 2017 after speaking out about the harassment.
