EMMERDALE favourite Natalie J Robb has signed a deal that will keep her in the village for another year.

The actress – who plays Moira Dingle in the ITV soap – joined the show in 2009 and has become a firm fan favourite at the centre of some of the biggest storylines.

Now The Celeb Report can reveal that she has put pen to paper on a new Emmerdale deal that will see her remain on the soap for her 15th year.

A source said: “Bosses are delighted Natalie has signed a new deal.

“She’s beloved by fans and plays one of the show’s biggest characters. There will be some big things coming up for Moira this year.”

Actress Natalie recently opened up about her surprise of still being on the soap after joining so many years ago.

She told Fabulous magazine: “No, because I don’t think that far ahead.

“But the role did come with a three-year contract, so I remember thinking: ‘It’s time for me to try to lay down some roots.’

“So I bought myself a house in Harrogate, Yorkshire, which I’m still doing up now. I’m such a DIY fanatic.”

Asked about still loving being on the soap, she said: “I really do.

“And to still be doing what I love, to still be in work, it’s great.

“I get people asking if I’d ever want to go off and do theatre, but my love is television drama.

“I enjoy the fact that it’s not the same thing every day. I love the spontaneity of it all – you just never know what’s going to happen next, especially in a soap like Emmerdale.”

Emmerdale declined to comment.
