THE Dingles are torn as they band together to support Faith Dingle amid her breast cancer battle.
Next week in Emmerdale, however, the character played by Sally Dexter makes a heartbreaking decision for Chas and Cain.
It appears that Faith Dingle has accepted her fate after being diagnosed with another round of cancer.
While she kept her secret for several weeks with the help of her daughter-in-law Moira, nurse Wendy Posner and Emmerdale GP Liam Cavanagh, the character eventually revealed everything to her children during an explosive birthday bash at The Woolpack.
She’s since decided to keep nothing a secret from Chas or Cain (portrayed by Lucy Pargeter and Jeff Hordley).
But when she chooses to turn away from chemotherapy, despite her children’s wishes, they can only support her.

Coming up, the day of Faith’s scan approaches and Moira encourages her husband Cain to accompany Faith to her appointment.
However, the Emmerdale tough man prefers to stay behind and drink at The Woolpack, mostly because of his strained relationship with his mother.
Chas is fuming but Moira’s heart sinks to see that Cain hasn’t stepped up for Faith and she soon makes a heartfelt plea for him to be present.
Whether Cain will choose to see sense or not remains to be seen but his efforts fail to soothe a bitter Chas who deems he’s not doing enough for Faith.
Yet her annoyance turns to dread when the doctors call Faith and tell her to come in to discuss her scan results.
The oncologist has some bad news to break to Faith and Chas – the cancer has spread.
Chas’ pain only grows when Faith insists on refusing further chemo, meaning she’s getting ready to face death.
Unable to accept Faith’s choice, Chas begs her to reconsider but she’s ultimately forced to accept the decision.
Later on, Chas gets angry with Cain’s apparent indifference to Faith’s decision unaware he’s keeping his struggle hidden from her.
