Charley Webb joins UK tour of James Graham's play Quiz

Charley Webb, best known for her role as Debbie Dingle on Emmerdale, has announced her new venture after leaving the popular ITV soap. The actress will be starring in the UK tour of James Graham's play Quiz, based on the hit game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Charley will be joined by renowned comedian Rory Bremner, who will play presenter Chris Tarrant, as well as Lewis Reeves from I May Destroy You and Mark Benton from Waterloo Road.

A sneak peek at rehearsals

Charley recently shared a sneak peek at rehearsals on her Instagram, giving fans a first look at the play. The Olivier-nominated play tells the infamous 'Coughing Major' scandal, which engulfed Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in 2001. The touring show claims to have new evidence and asks the audience to cast their vote on the guilt or innocence of the character involved in the scandal.

Quiz tour begins in September

The Quiz tour is set to start on September 18 in Chichester and will run until December 2, visiting various theatres across the country. Cities included in the tour are Glasgow, Cardiff, Bath, and Birmingham, offering audiences the opportunity to see Charley Webb on stage in their local area.

Charley's other TV roles

In addition to her stage role, Charley will also be appearing in the ITV series The Long Shadow, where she takes on the character of WPC Anna Lawson. The series follows the five-year long hunt for Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe. Charley recently shared some snapshots from the set, creating excitement among her fans.
