EMMERDALE star Lucy Pargeter has begged for legal advice from her fans after a person who doesn’t have her ‘number by consent’, won’t stop calling her.
The actress who plays Chas Dingle on the ITV soap pleaded for help on Twitter and asking ‘what do I do?'”
Lucy wrote: “Can anyone help ? I’ve been having text messages from someone who doesn’t have my number by consent, and who won’t leave me alone !!!!! What do I do ????”
The Emmerdale star, 44, was inundated with messages of support from her followers who told her to report the person to police.
Earlier this year Lucy took to Twitter again to warn fans of an online scam.
She wrote online: “Just had a scam call involving an automated message informing me that my NI number was going to be suspended due to criminal activities!!I
“Didn’t follow the instructions, please be aware of these scam calls, apparently there are so many at the moment.”
Despited her success on Emmerdale, Lucy didn’t always used to be one of the nation’s favourite soap stars, instead she first tried to find fame as a popstar.
Lucy who plays pub landlady Chas Dingle in the ITV soap started out in girl group, Paperdolls.
“I was once in a pop band supporting Boyzone,” she told Woman magazine.
“It was back in the late 90s and we were called Paperdolls.
“It was a laugh. We went from thinking we were just a few girls getting together and doing a few songs, to getting signed by a record label and touring.
“It was a great time.”
Unfortunately the band didn’t really have any success.
Their debut single Gonna Make You Blush was released in 1998 but failed to make a mark, let alone anyone blush.
It limped into the charts, missing the top 40 by quite a lot.
Despite the tour with Boyzone, the band limped around for a couple of years before splitting and going their separate ways.
Fortunately this led to Lucy joining Emmerdale as Chas, a role she has played since 2002.
