Behind-the-scenes secrets revealed
Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden, known for his role as David Metcalfe, has announced a new venture alongside former co-star Roxy Shahidi. The duo will host a podcast called Celebrity Side Hustles, where they will delve into what celebrities do outside of their main jobs.
From Emmerdale to the West End
After leaving Emmerdale last year, Matthew has been keeping busy. He recently starred in the West End production of Elf, while Roxy continues to play Leyla Harding on the long-running soap opera. Roxy is also currently appearing on ITVBe's Drama Queens, offering a glimpse into the lives of soap actresses off-screen.
Vulnerability and reality TV
Roxy opened up about her experience on reality TV, expressing feelings of vulnerability when being filmed authentically. She shared, "On Emmerdale, you perform a script and you’ve got that character to hide behind – but this is you, in the moment, being as authentic as you can be. And that leaves you feeling a little bit exposed."
