1. Lola’s health is on the line

After more than a decade in Albert Square, Lola Pearce will no longer be a part of its many familiar faces.

But how will Danielle Harold leave the BBC One soap?

Show bosses have hinted that Lola will be killed off and her final storyline was recently confirmed.

Coming up, panic strikes when Lola helps her daughter get ready for the pageant and Lexi’s dress rips.

This leaves them with little choice but to rush over to Chelsea Fox’s where Felix Baker offers his help.

The crisis is averted and later at the pageant, Lola heads to the bathroom before her daughter’s performance begins.

But she’s soon experiencing a dizzy spell and collapses due to a horrific seizure.

Jay and Ben later find Lola on the floor and call an ambulance.

Lola goes through a CT scan while in the hospital… and the doctors have terrible news for her.

Once the scan is done and the results are in, they inform Jay and Lola that they have found a tumour that may be cancerous.

2. Ben drops a bombshell

But while she will have to face a certain death, Lola finds the time to be invested in Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway’s relationship.

The pair portrayed respectively by Max Bowden and Tony Clay have been separated for months but there are hints that another Ballum reunion may occur.

This week, Lola invites Callum to attend Lexi’s pageant.

The police officer declines, desperate to avoid an awkward run in with Ben.

In later scenes, both Ben and Callum eventually attend Lexi’s pageant and the mechanic remembers he has some news to break.

But just as he’s about to open up, Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) interrupts them in a haste with some bad news of his own – Lola has just collapsed in the bathroom.

Ben only finds the time to open up to Callum as they wait for an ambulance.

What will he tell him?

Can they ever overcome their struggles?

Harvey makes an enemy out of Dotty Cotton this week

3. Harvey and Dotty squabble

Harvey Monroe (played by Ross Boatman) recently waved his daughter Dana goodbye as she went off to university.

Coming up, his friend Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) can that he’s still not over Dana leaving.

Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) suggests that he should think of doing something special to help Harvey get over it.

In later scenes, Rocky and Zack Hudson (James Farrar) are in local wine bar Peggy’s when they encourage an awkward Harvey to chat to a few ladies.

Could Harvey find himself a new date after his relationship with Jean Slater?

While that remains to be seen, his confidence is damaged when he overhears Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) badmouthing him.

Once it becomes clear that Harvey heard everything she was saying, Dotty realises she went too far.

She tries to apologise to Harvey but he ignores her.

Matters between them go from bad to worse when his wallet goes missing as he is convinced Dotty is responsible.

Harvey confronts her in front of her biological father Rocky and Kathy – but she stands up for herself and denies everything.

This won’t be enough for Harvey.

Determined to get justice and unforgiving, Harvey reports Dotty to the police for stealing his wallet.

Can they move past their differences?

Eve wants to move to the next level with Suki Panesar

4. Eve makes a move for Suki

Meanwhile, Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) wants to take her romance with Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) to the next level.

In scenes due to air this week, Eve is by Stacey Slater’s (Lacey Turner) side as she argues with her own partner Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol), due to a lie he told her daughter.

When Stacey talks about Nish Panesar’s return, Eve is prompted to visit the call centre in search of him.

Kheerat angrily follows her home and they argue about Suki before Stacey interrupts.

Later on in The Vic, Kheerat notices Stacey meeting up with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) for a business meeting and swiftly leaves.

The hunky gangster then helps Stacey bring a drunk Eve home, where the pair then open a bottle of wine – and he soon tries to kiss her.

Meanwhile, Eve is desperate to get a hold of Suki and leaves her a voicemail.

Sadly, she’s cut off when her phone is accidentally damaged.

This leads to Stacey’s mother Jean (Gillian Wright) taking the phone to Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) for repairing.

The cleaner is left bemused when she finds a message asking Eve to meet someone at the airport.

However, Eve is unaware of the message and continues to bring any tension down.

During another conversation with Kheerat, Eve tells him about Ranveer Gulati trying to sexually assault his mother and he has a sudden realisation.

Whitney is shocked when two men move in with her and Chelsea

5. Whitney gets housemates

Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) gets a shock this week when she returns home to find Felix and Finlay Baker (played respectively by Matthew Morrison and Ashley Byam).

While she’s initially shocked, she finds the time to confront Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) in The Vic.

Whitney is upset that Chelsea kept their move from her but she gives Felix and Finlay a chance to stay.

Romance could be in the cards for Whitney, however, as she begins to flirt with Finlay.

This would be Whitney’s first romantic bond since losing Kush Kazemi who was murdered by serial killer Gray Atkins.
