The drama has been full of twists and tales

Jo plays the role of Laura in the show and is accompanied by fellow actress Rachel Shenton, playing the role of a woman with a perfect life.

However, when Rachel’s character Emily arrives and befriends Laura, her life is turned upside down.

Jo’s character Laura is a lawyer but she is left biting off more than she can chew when her life begins to spiral out of control.

Taking to Twitter to comment on the ‘gripping’ show, one fan said: “Wow! Already gripped by #forhersins after that first episode, I knew within a few minutes it was going to be great!

“Can’t wait to see what unfolds during the next three nights! Great work!”.

Another added: “I didn’t want that episode to end omg.”

Whilst a third penned:  “Emily what is your plan??? I’m truly scared for Laura. That truly was a cracking episode and @RachelShenton was truly scary, riveting and you couldn’t take your eyes off her.”

Before a fourth said:  “#ForHerSins Not going to be a happy ending but it is gripping.”

The twists and tales have left fans guessing as they try to uncover all the hidden answers from the show.

Speaking about signing up for the new thriller, Jo said: “There is such a contradiction with the character of Laura, so focused and organised in her work life and yet chaotic and insecure with her home life. I feel it really resonates.”

In the drama, Jo is reunited with her on screen mum from EastEnders, Ann Mitchell.

Jo played Tanya Branning on EastEnders, while Ann portrayed her mother Cora Cross on the BBC One soap.

They play mother and daughter again in For Her Sins, with Ann playing Maggie, Laura’s mum.

Jo, 46, joined Holly Willoughby and Josie Gibson on ITV’s This Morning on Monday.

The actress told the hosts: “It was so nice to tell a story about two women, because I’m often paired with men, some wonderful men like that I’ve worked with over the years.

“I work really well in a duo with men but it’s really nice to be with a woman.

“Female relationships are complex and it reminds me of when you’re at school, when you think someone has said something double-edged.”

For Her Sins finale airs tonight, 9pm Channel 5 & catch up on the whole series on My5
