Brendan Cole suggests professional dancers don't leave on their own accord

A former professional dancer from Strictly Come Dancing has claimed that his former colleagues are "desperate" to stay on the show each year. Brendan Cole, who competed on the popular dance competition from its first series in 2004 until 2018, believes that if a professional dancer chooses to leave, it's not because they want to.

Exposure and Work Opportunities Keep Dancers on the Show

Cole explained that being a professional dancer on Strictly provides valuable exposure and work opportunities. He stated, "At the end of the season, you know that you are getting exposure. You know that from exposure, you get work and for work, you get money." He believes that unless the dancers receive an incredible offer elsewhere, they are unlikely to leave the show of their own accord.

Uncertain Future for Dancers

Cole also hinted that the show's producers may have plans to mix things up before the next series, meaning that some of the professional dancers could be at risk. Speaking to Sky Bingo, he said, "Maybe the producers will have ideas to the contrary to mix it up a little bit. One never knows what is going on behind the scenes."

Fans Speculate on Gorka Marquez's Departure

Speculation about the future of professional dancer Gorka Marquez has been sparked after he and his partner Nikita Kanda became the second pairing to leave this year's competition. Many viewers believe that this could be an indication that Gorka will quit the show.
