Gino D'Acampo's partnership with a major hotel chain is at risk following accusations of inappropriate behavior and aggressive conduct behind the scenes of his TV shows. The Italian celebrity chef, 43, has been accused of making sexually inappropriate comments and acting aggressively by numerous colleagues dating back over a decade.
Hotel Chain Monitoring the Situation
Meliá Hotels, which has a partnership with Gino, is closely monitoring the unfolding situation. The hotel chain stated that they are aware of the allegations and are taking the matter very seriously. Emphasizing their commitment to a safe and respectful environment in all their hotels, Meliá Hotels mentioned that they have a strict code of ethics.
Claims of Unacceptable Behavior
An ITV investigation revealed multiple claims of unacceptable, distressing, and horrendous treatment while working with Gino over more than 12 years. One woman, identified as Hannah, alleged that Gino made inappropriate sexual comments to her during a job in 2011, including a graphic remark about what he wanted to do to her.
Another woman, referred to as Natalie, also described Gino's behavior as aggressive. Both women shared their experiences of feeling small and intimidated by the celebrity chef's actions.
Gino's Response
Gino D'Acampo has vehemently denied all allegations of wrongdoing. Through his lawyer, he stated that he does not recall the incidents and refutes the accusations of aggressive behavior and a power play. The chef expressed shock at being accused of such actions and categorically denied the claims made against him.
