An eco nut charged onto Court 18 and hurled a puzzle and orange confetti during player Katie Boulter’s first round match against Australian Daria Saville.
In the serious debate, they talked to a protestor and a former group member as they discussed the group’s tactics.
Yet as the considered debate played out, a noise could be heard in the background.
Susanna exclaimed: “Oh we have a musical soundtrack!
“It’s Kate Garraway’s protest.”
The camera panned on to Kate, who was out of the initial shot, who was seen bent over and fumbling on her phone.
Wearing a pretty green dress, Kate exclaimed: “I am sorry, I don’t know what happened there.”
As the tune continued to play out, she added: “Oh my God it’s happening again!
“I am so sorry.”
Following the debate Ben again brought up the embarrassing mishap.
Not letting things lie, he quipped: “Still talking about phone-gate by the way.”
Kate then explained the cause of the noise was a “memory video” of her god-daughter Tabby showing “a lovely selection of photos which I couldn’t turn down.”
As the GMB bosses then played out the ringtone audio, she joked they were “gaslighting.”
She then added: “Really sorry – shall I just go?”
The blooper came during a tough time for Kate which saw her husband Derek Draper rushed back to hospital.
The medical dash came after the Good Morning Britain anchor was bestowed an MBE by Prince William with her spouse watching on in a ceremony at Windsor Castle.
Kate previously told the show how the former political lobbyist had “burst into tears” during the special event.
Broadcaster Kate has worked tirelessly all the while caring for Derek, 55, after his life-changing illness.
The former political lobbyist remains “very damaged” after contracting Coronavirus at the start of the pandemic in 2020 and has since suffered issues such as sepsis.
The ITV stalwart was recognised for her services to broadcasting, journalism and charity.
