Robert, 44, was whisked away to hospital just hours after presenting GMB alongside Ranvir Singh on Monday.
The criminal barrister suffered a prolapsed disc in his back, also known as a slipped disc, causing him severe pain.
The condition causes the soft tissue between the bones to push out of place, pressing on nerves and causing discomfort.
Taking to his social media, Rob smiled from a hospital bed as he gave his fans an update on his health.
“Started the day holding politicians to account on GMB and interviewing Lulu & Richie Sambora,” he wrote.
“Finished it having a prolapsed disc in my back repaired and healed,” Rob revealed as he smiled for the camera.
“‘Life can change in a moment.. Hold on to joy wherever you find it (thanks brilliant medical team).”
The post was flooded with well-wishes from his fans, who noted the condition was “so painful”.
“OMG a prolapsed disc is so painful, I’m very glad you’ve got it repaired and are on the mend,” one penned.
Another chimed in: “Wish you a speedy recovery,” while a third said: “Get well soon Rob! Look after yourself.”
It comes after Rob wowed fans as he showed off his gym transformation earlier this year.
The former Judge Rinder personality struck a herculean style figure on Instagram as he showed off his ripped body.
He tensed all his bulging muscles as he gave fans a peak of his new six pack he was previously working hard to build up.
Rob captioned the picture: “A week of juicing & 70km.. Now to making it at last!”
