Homes Under the Hammer’s Dion Dublin screeches at cameraman after spotting terrifying problem with stairs

HOMES Under The Hammer host Dion Dublin issued a major warning after stepping foot into a £40,000 home.

The former footballer, 51, put safety first as the crew entered the property in Wigton, Cumbria, to film scenes for the BBC One show.

Homes Under The Hammer host Dion Dublin was left hugely concerned by an ‘odd’ £40,000 home

He branded the house “odd” and a “break from the norm”, as he warned viewers it “wouldn’t be for everyone.”

As he walked through the carpeted hallway, adorned with a striking brick fireplace, Dion let out a squeal prompted by a stark warning.

He told the BBC programme: “Just across the hallway here, now careful, careful, down those stairs – very steep stairs – stairs going up to the bedrooms.

“Have a look at these stairs – that is a big drop.

Dion also expressed concern about the bedroom floorboards after jumping around on them

“Into the second reception room, again, really high ceilings.”

In a voiceover to camera, the Homes Under The Hammer frontman added: “This house is odd, and even the layout is a break from the norm, sometimes that can be a good thing, but a property will all these steps wouldn’t be for everyone.”

Yet the steep staircase wasn’t the only potential hazard, as in a matter of minutes, Dion became concerned in the bedroom.

He stopped talking and stated: “Listen to that,” before bouncing up and down.

Dion was visiting a home in Cumbria, which sold for £40,000

He continued: “It’s a little bit bouncy this floor, you can hear the glass in the wardrobe.

“Hm.. it’s a nice size bedroom, but I don’t want to hang about in here too long.”

He then quickly left the room to complete the segment.

Later in the episode, new owner Dave confessed the property had caught his eye because it was so close to the Hare and Hounds pub.

He was recently left stunned over the state of some walls in a different home

He explained: “We bought it for a pension fund really and the whole intention is to let it out.

“We know who the tenants are going to be and she’s quite happy to be painting and doing her own thing – so we’re happy to let her.”

Dion was rightly worried about the bedroom flooring as show co-host Martin Roberts recently confessed he fell through the floorboards at a rickety house.

Meanwhile the host was left horrified by the state of crumbling walls at a different property, before he had even stepped inside.
