GOOD Morning Britain host Susanna Reid has revealed that she “religiously” reads Piers Morgan’s Sun columns and told us what she really thinks about them.
The TV presenter, 51, said she is an avid reader of Piers’ regular features and admitted that she enjoys catching up on her former GMB colleague’s controversial opinions.
Susanna said the pair are still “very good friends” and sent the TalkTV host birthday wishes earlier this week.
Speaking exclusively to The Celeb Report, Susanna said: “I read Piers Morgan’s columns religiously.
“He has very strong opinions about things and I’m glad to see that hasn’t changed.”
She continued: “I’m still in touch with him, in fact it was his birthday yesterday and we’re still in touch and I’m sure I will be meeting up again soon, we’ve had a drink since he left… he’s still a very good friend.”
MORE ON PIERS MORGAN
It comes after Piers confirmed that his brand new primetime TV show on TalkTV will be launching this month.
The new show fronted by the TV titan, 57, will be called Piers Morgan Uncensored and will be a “fearless forum” that will take on cancel culture.
Piers‘ fans won’t have to wait long for their favourite broadcaster to return to their screens – as the launch is set for April 25.
Meanwhile, Susanna and new co-host Richard Madeley have recently been embroiled in “awkward clashes” while presenting the show together and viewers insisted there is something more going on with the Good Morning Britain presenters than just a difference of opinion.
The pair recently butted heads over Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on stage at the Oscars.
However, weather presenter Laura Tobin explained that the long-standing journalist is not afraid to “offend” people and his onscreen rants come from a good place.
Laura told us: “He [Richard] doesn’t care if he offends somebody – he kind of politely offends in the way that he does it and he gets the answers you need to have.”
Asked if Richard is part of the GMB family, Laura laughed: “He’s like the crazy uncle.”
After months of speculation about his next move, last September Piers announced he was joining The Celeb Report and its parent company News Corp in an unprecedented global deal.
On March 9, 2021 Piers dramatically stormed off the set after he was slated by co-star Alex Beresford for his comments towards Meghan Markle, leading him to quit the show.
At the time ITV released a statement to confirm that he had left the breakfast show.
The TV host got into a heated arguement about the Duchess of Sussex’s claims to have had issues with her mental health.
Piers claimed he was “sickened” by Meghan for “trashing” the Royal Family as “white supremacists” during her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Since quitting Good Morning Britain, the show has failed to reach the ratings high he delivered, with the series beating BBC Breakfast for the first time on his final broadcast.
GMB has also struggled to find a high profile replacement for him, instead using a rotating roster of male hosts to sit alongside his former co-star Susanna Reid.
They include hosts Richard Madeley, Adil Ray, Martin Lewis, Richard Bacon and Ed Balls.

A source told The Mail on Sunday: “Replacing Piers was always going to be tough, but no one thought that almost a year on they still wouldn’t have found anyone.”
On the contrary, Piers’ career has gone from strength to strength since ditching his early morning alarm call.
